Today we (belatedly) celebrated Hiroki's 100th day in the world. On this day, we set out a special meal for a baby of this age to mark the beginning of starting on solid food. Each of the dishes is meant to set him up for a healthy life in which he will always have good food to eat. The blue bowl next to the Mickey Mouse plate contains stones - these are to show that we hope Hiro will grow strong teeth.Each type food is ceremoniously offered to the baby who pretends to eat (although Hiro did manage some soup - he is a growing boy, you know)
